Nothing new to report on the immigration front

Today is exactly 2 months since the follow up medical tests were received in Ottawa. I thought for sure we would get good PPR news on this Tuesday , but alas it's just another day of waiting.

Yesterday our friends Ping and Ron from California visited us for an over night stay. They are the friends whose wedding in Boston we went to last September. We had a the best time with them singing Karaoke and laughing at Ron's competitiveness including arm wrestling. Sorry Ron for beating you every time.

Last week John and Dennis had dinner with us and we laughed our asses off singing and dancing to B52s music. These times with our friends are the moments we will miss most. We're making sure they all visit us in Canada.

We're still hoping our friends sell their home so they can buy ours. Patience is a virtue for all of us, but I think it's running thin. We know it will all work out in due time.

This weekend Emilio received an extremely touching e-mail from a woman in a binational relationship that found us through our flicker photos and read the blog. We both were in tears reading their struggle and tried to give the best advice possible, which is get out of the U.S. as fast as possible. My biggest hope is this country stops the insanity of treating gay families so horribly.

Thank you to our blog friends who are moving or have moved to Canada. Your support is so helpful and going back into your archives is very comforting.
